Jennie Kermode is the author of The Orpheus Industry (Double Dragon). She is a thirty two year old freelance writer who lives in Glasgow with her partners Donald and Stuart. First published at the age of fifteen, she currently teaches the best-selling Writing for Beginners at Suite University online and sells articles through 982 Press. She has spent much of the past decade as a carer whilst her partner Donald battled leukaemia, and she personally suffers from mixed connective tissue disorder, an auto-immune disease, along with other health complications arising from her intersexuality. She has a master's degree in English, specialising in historical linguistics, and has had a lifelong passion for literature and film. She has previously reviewed films on a regular basis for GUST television and TBD magazine. Her other reviewing work encompasses books, theatre, opera, photography and painting. A former competitive swimmer, she maintains an interest in more active pursuits. She has previously worked in the fashion industry, managing her own design business, Incarnadine Ltd.
