Good review, but Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were not just TV stars when "Bad Boys" came out in 1995. Smith had been on "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," but had also been in a few movies, including "Made in America" with Ted Danson and Whoopi Goldberg, I think. Martin Lawrence has been around since the 80s, but he's only become especially famous because of this film.

both actors movies were not leading roles (made in america, six degrees of separation, where the day takes you for smith) (boomerang, house party movies for lawrence) that's why i said no leading experience and they were television stars, b/c they were famous for their TV shows, not their movies

I see what you mean Carl. Great review, but I still loved it. I thought it was too long-the first time i watched it i fell asleep towards the end of it in the threater. Will is always good eye candy and Martin was a little too whinny for me but he was still funny. The best part in my opinion was when they harassed that 15 year old kid that was taking Marcus' daughter out. I was laughing so hard i started crying. That kid did a great job of acting. He stayed so calm in the face but yet he let the audience know that he was scared.
