This movie is the worst adaptation from a good book I have ever had the misfortune of viewing. I read and loved the book, but the movie completely butchered the latter 500+ pages! I guess they must have just needed some extra star talent for the movie, because Morgan Freeman's Kurtz character is originally White, and shoots a private not for letting a civilian out of their dragnet, but for calling the aliens 'Space N*ggers'. With the introduction of Morgan Freeman, they obviously had to drop that... THIS MOVIE SUCKS! Read the book instead, much more plausible.
