I can't believe you gave this film as high of a rating as you did. This film was an absolute disaster, and not in the way it was suppose to be. It was tremendously cliched and felt overly preachy throughout the entire film.

It was fun! I enjoyed Gyllenhaal's performance and the special effects were awesome.

I agree with Rickey. It had a crappy plot, hokey dialogue, but great special effects. That's all I expected from it and that's what I got. The liberal message was a bit strong towards the end, especially, but if you can overlook how preachy the movie is, it's a load of fun.

I agree with Joseph. This movie felt bloated, all it had was the special effects and every corner it turned, it seemed to run into a cliche! And for some odd reason, for the whole world dying, it didn't seem to be that big of deal. I felt like I was watching a movie more about a dad trying to get to his son, instead of a world disaster movie. 2.5/5
