I really liked the original "Shrek," although I preferred "Monsters, Inc." The sequel looks pretty good and hopefully it'll be a "Toy Story 2." Judging from this review, it isn't very disappointing, which is always a good thing...

I wasn't all that satisfied with the original so this came as a big surprise for me and is highly recommended for parents with younger children.

I will probably see this but I have to say that I wasn't the biggest fan of the original and am currently anticipating The Day After Tomorrow much more. Both films will likely be huge blockbusters (Shrek 2 is a guaranteed hit) and Shrek 2 has received the largest theatre count of a movie ever at over 4000 theatres! Wow!

I didn't fall in love with the original like everyone else seemed to when it came out. Like I said, I thought "Monsters, Inc." was better, and even more enjoyable. (Animation was top-notch, too.) But I did like it quite a bit and judging from everything I've seen, "Shrek 2" looks like it might be even better.
P.S. Joe, why do you want to see The Day After Tomorrow so much? Just wondering...I think it looks like another Independence Day disaster movie...the only reason I'll want to see it is for some of the disaster scenes though...

I really liked "Shrek" and I think it's a little better than the sequel, though it's still good. I'm looking forward to "The Day After Tomorrow" as well.

You know that I LOVED BOTH Shrek movies. Here are my ratings for the Shrek movies.

I'm sure you thought the first Shrek movie was over-rated, but you ENJOYED the second film a WHOLE lot MORE than the first!!! You know that Shrek 2 is my favorite movie followed by Finding Nemo. I'm sure you had seen Nemo as well.
