Surely one of the best movies I've seen.
But, after I got myself together again I wondered:
What to do with all the symbols in this movie. Indeed the film makes you rethink a lot of important issues of life, but it doesn't help you to answer anything.
One sure thing: Grace realizes that what the people in Dogville did, was not good enough. But they're human.
After watching Dogville I realized that this is about the same problem one can have with art in general. It evoces all sorts of questions, but leaves you alone with them.
